Paul Rudman
“Chairman of the Mud”
Executive Race Director & Course Designer

Paul has rightfully earned the title of “Chairman of the Mud” from his peers in the running community. His ten years of running, organizing, and designing mud runs gives him the knowledge to plan and execute the mud run experience of a lifetime. Paul finished the nine day epic adventure the Eco Challenge, something many attempted and fell short of the finish line. An avid marathon runner and rugby player for over 25 years. Paul has raced in 16 Los Angeles Marathons and will be running in the 2009 NYC Marathon. Additionally Paul has run in 50 & 100 mile trail runs. In 2000 he was the race course designer for Mike Bone at the 1st ever Catalina Adventure Challenge and has designed numerous other race courses. Paul’s mission is to spread awareness about environmental issues at Eco Fun Challenge through a fun and entertaining race and festival. Paul is the proud father of two daughters.

Eric Grubb
Finance and Administration
Eric “Grubby” Grubb is the Finance and Admin guy. Having started his race experience in Triathlons a dozen years ago, Grubby has done a bunch of tris up to the Half Iron Man distance. Doing a trade off for a free entry in exchange for working as staff on another event got him into the production side of Multi-Sport Events. Completing half a dozen Marathons, and countless halfs and other distances, his experience as a competitor brings a keen eye to what race participants want. He has raised tens of thousands of dollars individually in multi day long distance bike rides that have taken him thousands of miles through more than 11 states, he is a huge asset in realizing Eco Fun Challenge, LLC’s commitment to the $1Million fund raising goal for charit. And he’s passionate about the cause as well. With a love for travel he has cycled in six different countries on three continents. Heading up company sports teams from basketball, to softball to canoeing, and a having been a former captain of a masters swim team, sports management is a part of who he is. With a specialty in starting line and finish line management as well as an expert in registration administration, you can be assured of a top notch event that will run smoothly and on time. He’s especially pleased that his long term nick name is uniquely appropriate for a Mud Run!

Pete Rasmussen
Event Construction & Logistics Coordinator
Pete manages the research, development and execution of the “nuts and bolts” of the Eco Fun Challenge including construction of all of our unique obstacles, trenches, mud pits, shower systems, in addition to our sound and beer garden build outs. He is a second generation master craftsman carpenter. He owns a large cabinet company in California that has built out the cabinetry for many of California’s top movie theater chains. Pete has constructed a number of outside projects including; special event build outs, skateboard half pipes, custom wood structures, and even a lighthouse to name a few. Proud of his Danish decent, Pete also holds the title of “Official Beer Garden Taster, Buyer and Host.” For supplier inquiries or obstacle ideas email pete@ecofunchallenge.com
